About the Artist ❀

A nonbinary person who is light skinned with dyed ginger hair in a blown out twist out, sits in front of a park fountain. Pink roses and green leaves are to the right. They are wearing a light green flowy dress with open toed leopard print sandals

IMFKAMONI [they/them] and I’m a queer, non-binary artist, creative, maker, dreamer, fixer, and all around crafty bitch.  Drawing, crafting, and creativity had always been encouraged throughout my childhood, ultimately leading to a B.A. in Art Education from CSULA.  While I love testing out new art mediums, I am most drawn to acrylic paint, oil pastels, and flyer creation/digital drawings for their ease of use, and the spiritual nourishment each respective medium provides me.

From the mundane to the political, I believe art is crucial for the documentation and progression of society.  Therefore, within my bodies of work you can expect to find odes to my favorite everyday items & encounters, my childhood, people-power, and to the medium for the sake of itself.

Ultimately, being creative is the most important way for me to reclaim my peace and work towards liberation for all— join me for the ride.
